Dear Friend and Companion
Strong Enough to Be Gentle
Thank you for the Lessons
Forever In My Heart
*******
Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glint of snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the autumn’s rain.
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there – I did not die.

Sally, A life well lived.
Dear Pam,
Thank you for reading my blog about Sally. She was an amazing dog and I am blessed to have known her. She will always be with me as you say. One of these days I will write another blog – I did get another dog – the opposite of Sally – an Australian Shepard named Phoebe. She is a rascal!
What a beautiful Dog! I am just now visiting your site for the 1st time. I am so sorry to see that I won't be able to see alot of Sally. When reading your poem, it brought tears to my eyes. Keep your head up,walk the grounds-Sally will be with you in heart.

In addition, it is also equipped with cancer-preventive properties such as lengthening the menstrual cycle, altering estrogen metabolism away from cancerous compounds.
What a beautiful, loving tribute to a most noble, beautiful soul. I know she will be in your heart forever.
Angie, I am so sorry to read about Sally. I remember seeing her years ago on your website and admiring her beauty. I have read your posts and the trials all of you have been through. Sally was a beautiful and extraordinary dog and she was so lucky to have had you and all your love. All pets touch us deeply but some pets touch our soul. Much love to you.
Dear Joan,
I appreciate your loving thoughts and kindness. Honestly the past few years have been difficult with one thing or another. But I am also very thankful for my many, many blessings. Sally was one of those blessings. I believe that all creatures are wonderful in their own unique way, but our pets are truly special. Most give us unconditional love which is priceless and hard to find in this world. I am grateful for the wonderful experience of loving and being loved by Sally.
Angie, I am so sorry to read Sally has left her dog earth body through this beautiful Memorial you have honored your "god" (dog spelled backwards). My good thoughts are with you! Sally will always be with you.
Dear Cindi,
Thank you for your good thoughts and kind words. Sally gave me (and others) so very much while she was here. Her spirit was always loving and generous, gentle yet strong. I pray to always remember the valuable life lessons she taught me. I’m also creating a special garden in remembrance of her and our many times spent outside just enjoying the moment.
Ooohh…..it's heartbreaking to see such an absolutely gorgeous creature leave this earth, but it does seem that she did so while being cared for and loved by many, and that's a blessing. I happened to click on the link, bc there is a Stoney Hill Farm in Bucks County where I grew up as a child and wanted to see if this was the same farm. It is not, but I am so glad that I clicked on your link!!! What a treat it was to look thru Sally's pictures:-) She was such a beautiful dog….is she a Great Pyrenees Mountain Dog??? I have prayed for you, for all the ones who loved Sally and , of course, for Sally. Only other animal lovers can truly understand the heartbreak that the death of such a beloved companion leaves behind. God bless,Annie. <3
Dear Annie,
I’m so glad you happened upon the link to Stoney Hill Farm! And it’s so kind and thoughtful of you to share your thoughts with us! Yes, Sally was a Great Pyrenees. When we used to go on walks through our community, she was known as The Big White Dog. It amazes me that Sally had a positive effect on so many people’s lives. She was a wonderful companion for me.

I appreciate your kind words so much. Sally was a faithful, loyal, loving companion and served as a wonderful example of how to live life with joy. I miss having her with me every day, but she will live forever in my heart. Angie
